Because ACT! can dramatically affect the way you do business, Northbrook Consulting Group realizes the importance of customizing your contact management software to meet individual user, business and industry needs.

  • As an ACT! Certified Consultant, NCG serves small to medium-sized businesses with the installation, customization, training and troubleshooting of ACT! We will work with you to analyze your business needs, then design and implement a customized contact management database solution for your organization. Our goal is to increase your sales and profits by helping your sales people sell more effectively and intelligently.

  • No one has time to reinvent the wheel. We can save your company time and money by helping you with as much or as little as you need. We can assist you with any or all of the steps toward successfully implementing contact management or sales force automatio. Some clients prefer to handle much themselves and bring us in for configuration, training, data conversion and technical support. Others want us to develop and implement everything. Installation of ACT! 2009 and Upgrades from Prior Versions

  • Every installation of ACT! is unique. The success of your contact management program greatly depends on the well-planned installation of the software.

Database and Screen Design

  • NCG can customize the database and screen layouts to meet your individual user, business and industry needs.
  • We can group your leads, identify the sales rep, cushion field insertions and limit access to records or fields by users or teams.

Report Design

  • We can create customized reports or modify existing reports to meet your organizational needs and style.
  • Customized report design can include: adding fields to reports, redesigning the look of your reports, totaling results and adding groupings to reports.

Synchronization Setup For Remote Users

  • We can setup synchronization of individual remote databases with your main database. This is a very powerful, but underused tool. Synchronized databases now enforce all of the security settings of the main database.
  • If your sales people take their computers out of the office or work from remote offices, both the remote users and the people in the office will make changes. Synchronization allows all users to reconnect with each other and exchange the information that has changed since the last time all computers shared information.

Templates for Word Processing, Mail Merge, E-Mail

  • With ACT!, you can customize templates using Microsoft Word or the ACT! word processor. Templates are necessary for generating form letters and running mail merges.
  • One of ACT!'s best features is its ability to tackle large mail merge projects. The word-processing capabilities in ACT! allow you to automatically print out letters and Avery forms from your contact records.

Maintenance and Support

  • Things invariably go wrong at the worst possible time.  As you use ACT!, you may require some database modifications or answers to operational questions.   To keep your database running efficiently, backup and maintenance procedures need to be performed on a regular basis.
  • We can provide technical support as needed to solve ACT! issues

Important Act Software Notice: If you currently use an older version of Act, you should consider upgrading to a newer version by December 31st, 2018 to ensure Act continues to function properly after January 1, 2019.
